BOUNTEOUS is looking for a SVP, Business Development (Consumer) to join their team in Chicago.


  • Directly qualify, develop, and close deals that drive $8MM calendar year ‘New Business’ revenue with $24MM in TCV
  • Partner with the Business Unit Managing Director to identify, prioritize, and develop go to market plan with emphasis on shaping marketing plan, prospecting efforts, service offerings and wedge engagements that address critical clients needs within our Ideal Customer Profile that lead to multi-year, strategic engagements
  • Oversee and orchestrating overall growth activities for the Consumer Business Unit
  • Responsible for coordinating with sellers across the organization to have a comprehensive view of the Business Units new business pipeline
  • Partner with Channel Sales Teams (Adobe, Acquia, Salesforce, etc.) to grow their book of business within the Consumer Business Unit
  • Partner with client service team to achieve ‘New Business’ account plan goals by closing deals in new fields of play and to elevate the current relationship to a Co-Innovation
  • Execute sales best practices
  • Conduct research into target organizations to uncover power and business needs
  • Drive prospecting efforts within current client base and in target customer profiles to generate leads
  • Navigate client power structures to gain access to key decision makers and uncover value
  • Develop differentiated win strategies for pursuits in conjunction with Solution and Competency leads
  • Deliver inspirational and winning proposal and presentations that demonstrate Bounteous differentiation
  • Support the sales revenue forecasting, resource/staffing forecasting and annual budgeting process

  • Bachelor\’s degree and/or equivalent experience required
  • Individual Contributor sales experience 10 years
  • Minimum of 10 years successfully closing strategic deals worth $5MM in annual revenue for a systems integrator, eCommerce provider or digital agency
  • Minimum of 5 years of specific expertise selling to Retail, CPG, Consumer, travel or hospitality industries
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills, candidate must be authentic, disciplined and persuasive, and comfortable presenting to executive level audience in marketing and technology
  • Exceptional written communication skills, candidate must be able to craft persuasive and polished proposal copy and written communications Outstanding listening skills, candidate must be able to listen for client pain, unspoken objections and develop insights into win strategies
