To create and share videos on social media, a new platform called Clips has been launched by Apple.
A new mobile app by Apple is just introduced to share fun videos with text, effects, graphics, and more. Named Clips, it is easy to use and share videos on iPhone and iPad.
Clips is not a social network; it’s just a standalone app with video sharing functionalities and a photo editing software. The app lets users add Prisma-style filters and effects to photos and video clips and combine them with music, without using other extensions.
To use Clips, you pick a filter at first, and then choose your favourite emoji and Live Titles. Live Titles is the most interesting feature of the Clips app because it lets you create animated captions easily — just by talking as you record. It has 36 different language options.
Then, you can add music to your video if you want. Clips can even recognize who’s in your video and you can tap the name to send your video to your friend(s). Finally, your video is ready to share on Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo or YouTube.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Apps Product Marketing says,
Clips gives iPhone and iPad users a new way to express themselves through video, and it’s incredibly easy to use. The effects, filters and amazing new Live Titles we’ve designed for Clips let anyone make great-looking, easily sharable videos with just a few taps.
So now we have Snapchat, Instagram Stories, Wire, Cyberdust to share instant videos… and Clips will be available next month.
