Adobe Just Released 5 Free Amazing Color Fonts

Together with Fontself, Adobe has just released a new type of font rendering technology, known as OpenType-SVG color fonts.

It’s explained on Adobe’s official website that OpenType-SVG is a font format in which an OpenType font has all or just some of its glyphs represented as Scalable Vector Graphics artwork.

This new technology allows display of multiple colors and gradients in a single glyph; the term is also referred as ‘color fonts’.

The ‘color fonts’ are also capable of being used in Adobe’s design programs including Illustrator.

Letting users design fonts with unique colors, patterns and gradients; the new standard allows color information to be stored in a font and could change the way people interact with type.


Users can easily find different color fonts such as Trajan Color Concept and EmojiOne Color in their programs’ font menus – Visit ‘color fonts‘ to read more.

However, as it is noted, there is also possibility to not see the fonts’ full potential since some programs don’t have the full support for the color elements yet.
