Super Bowl brings us two more fabulous spots featuring Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber. Who do you think did it better?
Justin Bieber/ T-Mobile | #UnlimitedMoves
Justin Bieber stars in a Super Bowl commercial this year, and he shows all of his fancy dance moves in the spot.
The commercial uses an all-star cast, Justin Bieber, Rob Gronkowski, and Terrell Owens. Bieber pops up as a “Celebration Expert.” Suited and booted, he discusses an academic history of touchdown celebrations.
To promote unlimited data service of T-Mobile, the call to action of the spot uses social media: Users can share their moves with the #UnlimitedMoves hashtag and Bieber will retweet his favorite picks. This is a great, youthful campaign featuring one of Bieber’s hits “Children”.
Justin Timberlake & Christopher Walken/ Bai | #BaiBaiBai
This ad is phenomenal! Celebrities reading song lyrics on social media is an extremely popular trend at the moment. The Antioxidant Infusion Drink company, Bai takes advantage of this trend to create an ad spot, in a collaboration with Justin Timberlake.
To promote the drink Bai, the lyrics of the famous N’SYNC single, ‘Bye Bye Bye’ are read by actor Christopher Walken. Both he and Justin are shown in the spot sitting in a sophisticated room.
The brand’s commercial, was aired during the second quarter of the Super Bowl.
Both of these spots are extremely fun and well-performed. I think we should see similar campaigns such as these that use a great sense of humor more often.
After all, we all love pop-culture, don’t we?
