The 5 Best Ads Featuring This Year’s Emmy Awards

Presenting the best eye-catching ads from one of the biggest events of the year, brands like Apple, Audi, Netflix, Samsung and Google are displaying their creative talents on screen.

One of the biggest events of the year has passed. So last Sunday, the companies lined up to share their commercials during the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards.
So, let’s take a look at this year’s best ads:


The German automobile giant, Audi is making music with its engines and creating theme songs for the Emmy Awards spots. The project is created by Venables Bell & Partners, the engines starring are Audi R8 V10 plus, SQ5 and TT RS “performing” to theme songs “Cheers”. “Star Trek” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”.


The ad especially features the new Apple Watch 3. Titled “Roll”, it displays the music features of the product that provides its users to stream up to 40 million Apple Music songs wireless.

Though it feels like the spot was shot in Grand Central, but it was shot in Kiev and features skateboarder Kilian Martin with his AirPods and features the track “Misbehaving” by Labrinth.


With its “Funny you should ask…” spot, Google is ‘teasing’ with its users’ bewildering questions such as “What’s wrong with my phone’s battery?”, “Why doesn’t my phone understand me?”, “Why is my smartphone so slow?” and more. On the 30-seconds spot, the company is mainly teasing the Pixel 2 smartphone.


Netflix was one of the prominent ads at the show because they bagged 20 Emmys and created a super-funny spot for the show, titled; “Netflix Is a Joke”.

Created by the Los Angeles agency Battery, the film features Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld popping up on the screens of Netflix series like The Crown, Stranger Things and The O.J. Simpson.


Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 aired a romantic film during Emmy’s and reminds the audience that the technology can still be useful in even saying “I love you” for the first time. The spot is created by Wieden + Kennedy Portland and directed by Biscuit’s Isaiah Seret. By presenting the device’s features such as ‘S pen’ and live messages, it’s a fun spot which amuses Emmy wiewers.
