Tumblr launched two new tools for its creative users yesterday, including stickers and filters that are available for mobile usage.
The microblogging pioneer announced yesterday that the mobile platform is available for using filters, stickers and applying them on images and GIFs. Plus, other new features were announced by Tumblr in recent months such as live video streaming, which was announced last June, as well as a revenue sharing partner program, and the artistry is amazing.
In order to use the new features, you’ll have to first update the Tumblr app to its latest version. Then select the compose icon in the center of the display and choose either GIF or the photo option which will access your camera. Later on, you have a choice to upload from your camera roll or take a new one. Additionally, you’ll be able to reach the editing screen to add – including filters, stickers and text to your photos. You can move, zoom and rotate the stickers by your touchscreen.
As we all know, Tumblr is one of the most hip platforms on the Internet, that’s why filters and the stickers are proving it. The theme of the graphics used is especially psychedelic and 90s style-inspired and looks incredibly cool. There are more than 100 stickers at the moment.
Here’s the video of the feature:
From the Tumblr logo to sunglasses, a speech bubble, wobble grid, a VR helmet, assorted moons, a money stack, bubbles, a cat, a ramen bowl and more, there are endless options to express yourself. New collections will be added over time and for special events like Valentine’s Day and Black History Month.
Stickers and filters are becoming every social platform’s favorite madness and they are spreading rapidly. The amazing thing is, the more they become popular; the more social media gets engaged.
