Top Social Networks In UK

The infographic created by GlobalWebIndex shows usage tendencies of top social networks in UK.

Internet penetration in the UK is one of the highest in Europe with nearly 85% of people being connected to the internet. There are increasing numbers of highly connected individuals and organizations who have access to the internet and social media at work, at home and on the move.

Facebook is currently the UK’s top social network with the highest percentage of membership and active usage at 79% and 50% respectively. Most popular among these are YouTube, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.

Tumblr users are the most socially active compared to those on other platforms, spending almost three hours on social networks daily, owning around ten social accounts, of which they actively use seven.

Pinterest had the greatest positive change in active users since last year, with a huge 67% increase. Tumblr also grew 27% last year.
