IKEA Belgium and DDB Brussels collaborated on this project for the debutant issue of the new IKEA catalog.

The smart, traditional and funny characters from the catalog are over-excited. Therefore, the commercial video is all about them, rather than the furniture. They mention how crucial their role is for the catalog, and “over-exaggerate” their part in a humoristic way.

The Ikea catalog is one of the most read books in the world. So it makes sense for the models to consider this their breakthrough moment. Their door opener to stardom. We listen in as they dream out loud of becoming household names in TV, modeling, acting and mentally preparing themselves for a life in the spotlight.

DDB, also added:
