Reuters To Launch Personalized App For Professionals

Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider reaching more than one billion people every day, has just introduced a new personalized app aiming to help business professionals and companies make better and informed decisions.

With the new app, Reuters allows professionals to receive fast, accurate and relevant information which will affect their decision making process by reducing the time for searching specific topics from the Reuters’ global news source as well as offering personalized features such as customized alerts, ‘market watchlists’ and so on.

The news app has already received positive reactions in beta testing with its “Breaking News” feature as business professionals mostly read news when they quickly need reliable information about any topic form the industry they are working in.

Isaac Showman, Managing Director of Reuters Consumer, said:

People rely on Reuters to inform their personal and professional decision-making. In building the new app, we wanted to make it easier for users to access quality news and data across the thousands of specialist topics we cover. By being a ‘news utility,’ we’re focusing on being incredibly useful, fast and relevant for our users.

According to the press release, “the new app also features ‘Editor’s Highlights’ cards that provide a summary of major stories in each feed; a personalized news bulletin from Reuters TV, where users can select their program length; and offline access”.

Reuters’ news app is available on iOS now.
