Content Marketing Awards 2019

The 2019 Content Marketing Awards program will open in February 2019. Brand marketers and agencies can visit the website to be notified when next year’s program opens.

All entries must be submitted online. For Print categories and some digital categories you will still need to mail in 3 samples of work per entry with a copy of your email confirmation attached. They need 3 identical copies per entry. The reason is that 3 separate judges will evaluate each entry.

Here are the 2018 top prize winners:

  • Content Marketing Agency of the Year (Less than 100 Employees): PM, poslovni mediji, Ljubljana, SLOVENIA.
  • Content Marketing Agency of the Year (More than 100 Employees): MSP-C, a division of MSP Communications, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
  • Project of the Year: Ideas of Order Magazine, produced by California Closets and agency, Redbird.
  • Content Marketer of the Year: Venetta Linas Paris, Senior Manager, Content – Global Marketing, Aon.

The categories are judged by such considerations as:

  • Information and/or entertainment value
  • Relevance
  • Quality of copywriting (tone, voice, length, interest)
  • Appropriateness for the audience
  • Effectiveness in achieving goals
  • Hard numbers (statistics) measuring performance against goals
  • Quality of display copy
  • Ability to support the sponsor’s brand/image
  • Ease of navigation (Digital)
  • Pass-along potential (Print)
  • Impact of landing page links/coverlines (Digital)
  • Impact of coverlines (Print)
  • Visual appeal, effectiveness of imagery
  • Typography
  • Integration of visual and textual elements
  • Balance of visual and textual elements

While these are the winners of the top four Content Marketing Award prizes, there were also 92 individual category winners that were announced in late July.

There were more than 1,100 entries to 2018’s awards and a panel of all-star judges chose the “best of the best” in content marketing excellence recognizing all aspects of content marketing, from strategy to distribution, and from editorial to design.
