Stabilo’s “Highlight The Remarkable” Campaign Keeps Taking Credits On Social Media

After winning in Print & Publishing category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity last month, Stabilo Boss’s “Highlight the Remarkable” campaign has gone viral on digital channels.

Created by DDB Group Düsseldorf, the meaningful print campaign from Stabilo, the world’s largest manufacturer of highlighter pens, has received amazing reactions on social media as it attracts attention to “remarkable” women who played important roles in the history and stayed invisible.

DDB Germany Chief Creative Officer Dennis May said:

We are very excited about the fact that the campaign and its message have gained so much traction in social media over the past days. Within only a few days, for example, we reached more than 10 million impressions on Twitter. The more we can help to highlight that topic together with Stabilo, the better.

Featuring NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson, U.S. First Lady Edith Wilson and Austrian-Swedish physicist Lise Meitner, each print ad has black and white photo with highlight on the woman, whose contribution was put in the shade by the man she was together.

Here you can see the ads and read the overshadowed stories of amazing women:

As it has shared by DDB, Stabilo’s print ads will continue to run in print and outdoor in Germany through the summer.

It goes without saying that we love the idea behind the campaign! We’re hoping to see more women covered in this series.
