Brave Bison Acquires a Digital Commerce Company and Announced 50% Revenue Growth

Brave Bison is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the leading commerce and mobile development company, Best Response Media, alongside stellar financial results for 2021.

This exciting and strategic acquisition marks the fourth transaction since brothers Oli Green and Theo Green took over the company and further establishes Brave Bison as a significant player in the commerce space, now with Adobe, SAP, Salesforce, and BigCommerce capabilities.

Best Response was founded in 2009 by London-based entrepreneurs Bachir Smahi and David Wain-Heapy. Best Response will be integrated into Brave Bison Commerce and give them a new hub in Egypt bringing as well as an impressive range of B2B and B2C clients including NatWest, Wasoko, and Paul.

Oli Green commented that there has been a shift in what clients need vs what they are getting with their media partners:

Clients and customers are interested in a partner like us joining the dots across what is now a fragmented and difficult to navigate digital media and advertising ecosystem, so acquiring Best Response Media made sense.

Aligned in values, the acquisition of Best Response Media complements and accelerates their plans for growth and expands their outfit overseas.

Brave Bison is proud to be championing the way in hiring from a broader and more diverse pool of talent and this move allows them to expand on that – with their Headquarters in London and hubs stretching across Singapore, Thailand, Bulgaria, Serbia, Morocco, South Africa and now Egypt.

Alongside the exciting acquisition, today Brave Bison announced stellar financial results for 2021. Reporting Pro-forma revenues of almost £30mn, revenue growth of 50%, and Adjusted EBITDA of £1.8mn.

Theo Green commented:

we’re delighted with these results, and they reflect 12-months of amazing work from the fantastic teams at Brave Bison and Greenlight. We can’t wait to start working with the Best Response team and we’re all looking forward to an exciting 2022

Brave Bison’s annual report revealed that their digital media network, and owned and operated a network of 650 channels across YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, and TikTok, generated £16.5mn of revenue, and over 1.7bn on average monthly views.

This year’s creators included Ehiz Ufuah, Reagan Yorke, and Zack Fairhurst, as well as Eloise Fullagar and Jimbo Hall.

Big wins for Brave Bison’s clients also meant big wins for their teams, Buster Dover joined the Company as COO and Brave Bison appointed three new Managing Directors: Hannah Kimuyu (Brave Bison Performance), Ed Hornby (Brave Bison Commerce) and Chris Grimwood (Brave Bison Social & Influencer).
