Audi launched a first-of-its-kind competition, called #CatchtheUnseen, where people were challenged to take the instagram photos further than anyone else.
Audi, with the help of Swedish agency Åkestam Holst, launched a microsite with the map showing where the most Instagram photos were taken in Sweden.
Demonstrating that we tend to take pictures from exactly same places, they created the #CatchtheUnseen campaign.
The campaign promotes Audi’s new car Q7 that can help you reach unexplored places.
#CatchtheUnseen campaign encourages Instagram users to to take photos in less popular places and explore the beauty of their country.
When users were uploading an Instagram photo tagged with #CatchTheUnseen and @AudiSweden, the algorithm was finding the nearest geotagged photo and revealing the distance to it.
The winner of the competition took a picture over 13 kilometres away from another picture and won a brand new Audi Q7.
The campaign was a huge success as it helped Audi reach more than 500,000 Instagram users.
