Volkswagen Hits The Brake With Punctuation

Volkswagen promotes the brake feature of its new “Passat” model, with clever print ads that use punctuation for an added effect of humor!

“I’m sorry I love you” is a lot different than, “I’m sorry. I love you.” Grammar lesson well learnt, courtesy Volkswagen.

Romania-based agency, GMP Bucharest  and Volkswagen hit the road to promote the braking feature of the new Passat. With the tagline “It’s important to stop at the right moment”, each posters unveils the disastrous consequences of incorrect punctuation – incorrect braking.

The ads chop up sentences with punctuation in two different ways, with a mere full stop or comma making all the difference, thus, shedding light on the importance of knowing when to stop, when to punctuate and when to brake.

Smart and simple, Volkswagen sure is slamming the right brakes at the right time. Not to mention, scoring home run with the grammar-Nazis!
