Alliance of Independent Agencies Launches Wellbeing Research Questionnaire for the Marcomms Industry

The Alliance of Independent Agencies, in partnership with Opinium, today launches a global market research study into wellbeing in the marcoms sector.

The study, which is open for two weeks, is open to both independent and network agencies of any size, discipline or structure, as well as freelancers who work within the sector.

For the last 6 months The Alliance, which is based in the UK and represents businesses that are not part of a group or holding company, has undertaken a quarterly survey called People Pulse. This survey gauges agency employees’ views around pride, trust and leadership, as well as their own wellbeing. The score on the most recent quarter was an alarming score of -22, which is significantly lower than expected.

As such, and in order to shine a spotlight on wellbeing within the industry, the Alliance has commissioned Opinium, the strategic insight agency, to develop a research questionnaire to provide more detail on the industry’s mental health.

In addition, this research is also looking at attitudes around returning to the workplace following lockdown easing.

Clive Mishon, Founder and Director at the Alliance of Independent Agencies, commented:

Wellbeing has been top of the agenda for agencies around the world, especially over the past twelve months. This has only been reinforced by a particularly poor score in our own People Pulse study. We hope this research will provide key insights into the current state of wellbeing across the agency community, and allow us to develop tangible actions to improve it.

In order to get as much value as possible from the survey, we are calling on those within agencies to complete the survey and encourage others to take part too.

The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, with all responses completely anonymous. You can complete the survey here.
