WeThink Social Is Going to Attract New Visitors from Scandinavia to Gozo

The Ministry of Gozo has chosen WeThink Social as the lead agency to brand the island of Gozo as the new travel destination this summer.

During a time where we have to stay inside our own borders, one of the best ways to stay positive is to imagine and plan our next holiday. WeThink Social is currently launching a new Scandinavian campaign, in order to make Scandinavians aware that the Maltese Island Gozo is the next obvious travel destination. The campaign is digital and through intelligent data use it is going to guide relevant target groups closer to booking a holiday to Gozo.

WeThink Social – Strong strategic understanding

Having never run a campaign in Scandinavia before the Ministry of Gozo were looking for a strong Social Media bureau partner with a deep understanding of the Scandinavian market and with a high level of strategy and creativity. After a pitch WeThink Social was chosen.

An ambitious online strategy is going to increase the awareness of Gozo

Gozo is a hidden gem and regularly ranks as having the clearest waters in the Mediterranean. This makes it a great place for snorkelers, divers as well as for those looking for an island getaway. And also for those wanting to spend a week at the beach. In spite of this, the island is not well known to Scandinavians – and that is a fact that the Ministry of Gozo is looking forward to changing. Even though it is not possible to travel the world right now, dreaming is never forbidden and the purpose of the digital campaign is to make Gozo a part of the Scandinavians dreams and future travel plans.

As a part of the collaboration, WeThink Social has already developed a visual identity as well as an ambitious online strategy for the campaign. The strategy includes a sharp focus on target group tests, segmented content based on target group interest and re-marketing tracks which guide the target group closer to booking a vacation to Gozo. The agency will be responsible for paid social management and continuously optimization of the campaign.
