Founded by teachers in 2011, IVET Group is one of Australia’s leading RTO’s and the preferred and trusted partner to hundreds of schools.
IVET specialize in supporting and empowering Schools to deliver a wide range of VET in Schools programs across the country, and needed a new website to optimize the delivery of their services.
The Challenge
With three distinct audiences, IVET needed a website that would appeal to multiple targets with a focus on ease of navigation and succinct messaging. While their offering is quite corporate, their largest audience is youth.
The design needed to balance these two requirements. And with an ever-evolving suite of programs and services, the IVET site needed to be easy to update within the organization at all times.
The Approach
After providing two possible homepage design directions, IVET chose a clear favorite. This formed the basis of the rest of the site design focused on seamless user navigation and UX to make it easy for the multiple target audiences to find and navigate the site.
The need for responsive design and development was also important to cater to a broad range of users across all devices, and their bespoke icons and illustrations ensured a balance between corporate and youthful visuals.
IVET had previously found the use of multiple platforms inefficient or ineffective, so the new site was designed with the ability to house all the FAQs in the backend to make it easier for content editors to control.
Emote used Oxygen Editor for the frontend to make it as seamless as possible for admins to edit and build pages using existing modules and designs.
The Outcome
The new IVET website offers schools, teachers, and students a targeted UX-focused platform with 24 hour response time. The visual design is both appealing and functional and navigation is simple and efficient.
The IVET website serves over 30,000 students Australia-wide and saves 12,000 teachers 70% in administration time.
Editability of the site is also simple to cater to the ever-evolving IVET offering. IVET love what they have created together and will be working with them on branding and marketing services in the future.

Australian Automotive Distribution is one of 70 brands under the parent company, Bapcor, and the biggest brand of Bapcor mechanical division.
AAD specializes in the import, manufacture, remanufactured, and wholesale of quality brake, clutch, suspension, cooling, engine, and service products for both passenger and commercial vehicles. They strive to be the first choice for automotive wholesale solutions and ask us to help them design a new website to achieve this.
The Challenge
AAD sells only to businesses through an online ordering system. Their old website required customers to have an account and sign in to a portal to access product information before purchase.
Customers wanted to know more about the company and its products before signing up. AAD required a site more focused on the B2B user journey, providing product and company information upfront and a simplified ordering process.
The Approach
AAD provided an initial site design to Emote Digital to elevate. They then developed a new content-based site tailored to better suit AAD’s B2B audience.
The new site provides detailed company and product information with a simplified process for users to get to the point of ordering. It was also important that their design and development were seamless as AAD’s IT team would be deploying the site themselves.
The Outcome
The new AAD website offers users a straightforward, informative platform with easy navigation and login to access the e-commerce portal. As an aftermarket industry leader, AAD now has a site that ticks all the boxes when it comes to providing its customers with detailed product and company information.
The process of handing over the project to the IT team for deployment went smoothly and AAD is very happy with the end result.

A new eCommerce website offering a better alternative to the big chains.
Friday Grocer is a Melbourne startup offering a more personalized, better value alternative to Coles and Woolies online grocery shopping. With no overheads from bricks and mortar stores, Friday Grocer is able to offer greater savings to its customers.
The Challenge
Friday Grocer was established late in 2021 in response to an increased demand for home grocery delivery during the COVID-19 lockdowns in Melbourne.
To be competitive against the big players in Woolworths and Coles, Friday Grocer knew they not only had to offer low prices, a wide range, high quality, and free delivery, but also a simple ordering system. With an ever-changing and eCommerce offering, the site needed to be simple to update too. That’s where Emote Digital came in.
The Approach
With their visual brand and desktop designs established, Friday Grocer asked Emote Digital to develop their site. They developed a custom WordPress/WooCommerce site focused on UX and responsive design for easy use across all devices.
Emote Digital also developed mobile designs based on their provided desktop designs and custom-built functions such as a delivery schedule at checkout and delivery postcode search. They also set up Google Analytics tracking to help them build their community of customers through social channels.
The Outcome
The new Friday Grocer website offers users a visually appealing, functional, and simple-to-navigate grocery shopping website.
Customers are able to check if their postcode is eligible for delivery, search for individual items or by category, and choose their delivery times with ease. And the site is responsive across all devices. Editability of the site is also simple for the Friday Grocer team to update grocery items, prices, and other content.

How do you sell the visual and audible experience of a product in an online shop?
The previous Wind Chimes Australia website was dated both visually and functionally, resulting in missed opportunities in the consideration and purchase of their products.
The business needed to showcase both visual and audible product attributes and offer a seamless e-commerce journey to its customers. They wanted a new website to reflect their growing offering, immerse their customers in the experience of their products and offer a superior user journey.
The Approach
It was important that Emote designed a website that felt calm, earthy, and inspirational in order to help users really experience the products on offer.
Emote worked with Wind Chimes Australia to showcase all of its products in a beautiful gallery-style shop. Customers are able to play audio of the products in use and products are categorized with filter options available to easily match users with their desired purpose. The new site incorporates a WooCommerce checkout to offer a superior experience over the previous site’s Paypal-only option. And the responsive design and development ensure users can access the site on all devices.

Emote Digital is all about creating long-term, meaningful partnerships. Their relationship with Carbitool started with Sutton Tools, their umbrella company.
Emote had built a large eCommerce site for Sutton Tools and as they’d built that trust, they were tasked with marketing their sub-brand, Carbitool.
Emote’s main goal has been to make Carbitool more discoverable over the last two years. How? By managing their SEO, Google Ads, and blog content.
Carbitool needed an agency that was going to be able to develop its brand presence in an extremely competitive market — woodworking tools. They needed a partner who knows how to cut through the noise.
Considering the sheer volume of Carbitool’s products and how specific their purposes are, Emote needed to ensure each SKU was perfectly optimized for SEO and properly promoted for Google Ads.
In conjunction with these specifics, they also needed wider industry themes covered through blog posts to enrich the content of their site, boost organic traffic and support the SEO progress.
Content
Emote’s approach to content was to add rich blog posts to the website regularly. They covered popular topics and questions in the industry to drive new traffic to the site.
A blog is an excellent tool for answering FAQs, boosting keyword density, and increasing indexed pages. They ensured the content was rich in keywords and meta-data while still being interesting to read.
Google Ads
Emote has been managing Carbitool’s Google Ads since their eCommerce site went live in July 2019 and has been their primary form of digital advertising since then.
Carbitool is a great example of how results generally improve with time. Revenue (both on the site overall and from Google Ads) has grown steadily since the eCommerce site went live.
Why? Because time gives you:

Emote’s approach was to generate eCommerce sales of router bits. A low cost per click was important because router bits can be cheap (for example, a conversion might only bring in $30) and Carbitool didn’t have an established eCommerce client base, which meant the conversion rate would pose a challenge. That’s why Smart Shopping, which generally has a very strong cost per click, has been a major focus for their approach to combating this challenge.
Emote adjusted the overall Google Ads budget regularly to continually optimize and implement knowledge from data.
SEO
Emote’s SEO approach has played a major part in Carbitool’s success. They optimized all of the product categories as well as specific product pages to hit keywords and rank highly.
This, combined with regularly updated blog content was the backbone of their SEO strategy. Each piece of content uploaded to the site was written with search volume in mind and the aim to increase traffic over time.

Buttering up Lurpak
Cult butter brand Lurpak engaged Emote Digital for a once-off EDM chain supporting their Christmas campaign to get Australia baking instead of buying.
Customers could redeem one of three baking kits upon upload of a valid receipt for any Lurpak product. Emote Digital created the landing page customers visited and when they input their email it was added to Lurpak’s database, boosting their direct customer reach.
They set up email automation for if the receipt was valid and the kit was on the way, or if the receipt was invalid and to try again. Once the kits were sold out, the confirmation automation stopped and was replaced with a coupon code email instead. This way, no customer felt they had missed out and felt fully informed along the way, which builds rapport with Lurpak.

Newline Cushions came to Emote Digital with an established brand and an exciting new direction and Emote worked with them to plump up their website.
Newline Cushions creates purposeful interiors that express your individual needs, style and personality. For 15 years they’ve been dedicated to elevating spaces using their sole focus — cushions.
The Problem
They have so many great aspects of their brand such as being family owned, Australian made, fully customised to the individual and an empowering ethos.
The only thing Newline didn’t already have was a fresh and engaging digital presence. That’s where Emote stepped in.
They needed to transform how Newline’s website looked, sounded, and navigated to connect with their target audience. The site also needed full functionality as an online store and for the sales process to be enjoyable for the user.
The Approach
For a brand that is all about design and aesthetics, it was crucial that their website looked fab. To achieve this Emote implemented beautiful and bespoke website design.
Emote developed the website on WordPress and Woocommerce to create a holistic eCommerce platform and give the flexibility to customise according to requirements and develop more closely to designs and functionality.
Robust, reliable, and an easy-to-navigate experience for backend admin made this the best approach for Newline. Plus it’s a scalable solution to match their big ambitions and future proof their business.
For the design, Emote firstly developed brand guidelines. These establish rules for the brand to utilise consistent visual elements to deliver a cohesive aesthetic.
These brand guidelines also laid out Newline’s key messages channeling creative and clever copy. From the headlines to the About Us page, down to the newsletter sign-up CTA, Emote made sure the copy for Newline was working hard to give life to their brand.
The Outcome
A combination of smooth UX, clever copy and gorgeous design.
By upgrading the user navigation to be more streamlined, Emote made sure the journey from browsing cushion styles through to purchase is totally seamless, encouraging less decision fatigue and more conversions. This is crucial for an eCommerce site.
Newline’s brand values are now highlighted up front and the website has a high level front end polish with animations and GIFs (always a crowd favourite).
The illustrative components for web represent Newline’s style and help users focus on what’s important — the cushions! The bespoke leaf motifs draw upon natural inspiration, shape and linework to create intriguing visual elements.

Launching a completely new brand is always a challenge, especially as the rideshare space has rapidly become more crowded.
Emote Digital knew the key to success would be to demonstrate Best Ride’s point of difference — helping users find the best value. They needed to quickly get this message across without overwhelming an already busy market.
This meant Emote Digital had to identify the prime demographic and the best channels to reach them. To do this they had to create a friendly, yet informative tone of voice with matching visuals across social media.

The Approach
Emote Digital began by creating a sitemap that you couldn’t get lost in. A simple and modern UX that prioritized condensed information with a suite of infographics that would suit both clients and carers.
The integration of Healthcare Manager also allowed them to design a website that could be easily updated with key information and job postings. Emote Digital used Zoho CRM for form fills, which allowed them to pull all jobs and information directly into OnCall’s website.
OnCall’s website needed to be easy to access and clear in the services they offer.

The results are a website that is completely accessible with an easy-to-navigate UX that allows both potential clients and carers to find what they need. With a range of specialty graphics and icons, Emote Digital brought the site to life, while also keeping it friendly and informative.

Otopia was launching their new business and recruited Emote Digital to play a big hand in shaping their brand, developing their website, producing their collateral and getting ready to go digital. Emote Digital knew they’d benefit from an outside perspective on how to make the most of their activation. This is why a comprehensive brand and website audit was initially required to help them understand how to launch their brand and highlight existing pain points that required fixing prior to going live with their product. Launch Loud and Proud
Otopia knew their social media game had to be strong. Emote Digital created a campaign prior to launch to ensure they were targeting relevant leads with impressive ad design and copy. They wanted to make a splash.
Since working with Emote Digital they’ve seen a 37.6% MoM increase in landing page views (LPV) across all brand awareness ads with a cost per LPV of $1.42 as well as a 66.7% improvement in reach across all ads. This means they’ve helped Otopia not only get in front of more people but also visiting their website.
One of the major deliverables for Otopia was their Brand Story to guide all of their communications across social, the web, and more. It included critical key messaging so they were armed with not only the most important selling points of their brand but also how to communicate them. What did that mean for Otopia? Emote Digital also delivered a comprehensive website audit to highlight existing pain points on their website and make recommendations. Based on this audit, they implemented updates to the website’s UX, refreshed imagery to be more in line with their personality, and added life to their copy.

The result? BK has already expanded from two to five locations and has huge expansion plans for 2021 and beyond.
In order to shorten the user journey, Emote Digital created lead forms for the ads. The lead forms feed into BK’s internal customer management system, making it not only quick and easy for parents to express interest, but also for BK to manage their leads.

How do you turn an extensive catalog of tools into one easy-to-use website?
Emote had to create something brand new — the ‘Expert Tool Selector.’ A step-by-step selector that allows users to input data about the type of job, down to the material and setup, and instantly receive expertly recommended tool advice.
This changed the website from something that you would simply browse, to a site that actively drives conversions. Manual data entry was not an option, so Emote built a complex ERP integration system to accommodate over 21,000 products to manage inventory.
Coupled with multi-site implementation across Australia, Asia, and Europe and a mobile-first responsive design Emote knew that the website needed to be as tough and durable as Sutton Tools.
The Outcome
The new website feels both modern and fresh, with a powerful automated system making sure that stock levels are always accurate. With over 21,000 products housed in an easy-to-navigate website that puts mobile-first, Emote knew they couldn’t compromise on content or imagery.

Using the strength of an iconic brand, Emote Digital wanted to engage both existing and new customers with an effective and on-brand creative social advertising presence. They implemented and optimised a constant stream of in depth campaigns on Facebook and Instagram reaching all of their key market segments, underlaid by a solid base of remarketing to existing audiences.
Given the all-time high global demand for sportswear during the pandemic, it was important to create campaigns that stood out from the crowd while still fitting their brand guidelines and overall creative direction. This means staying ahead of the competition.

Across the Google network they utilised designed display ads and shopping ads to drive revenue to the AUS and NZ websites. By creating a range of always-on ads, seasonal product launches and sales they helped this global brand stay one step ahead of its competitors.

Emote Digital utilised AdRoll — a powerful display marketing tool designed specifically to grow eCommerce revenue.
They didn’t simply retarget existing traffic, they set up a range of segmented audiences based on previous purchase behaviour and the likelihood of buying. By creating specific categories they could apply each group to the relevant product launch. They designed, created and rolled out all assets alongside the launch on both social and search advertising, allowing them to reach their market on the world’s most popular websites.

Suzuki is a legendary motorcycle brand, known for their precision engineering and the Suzuki experience. Yet the motorcycle market is declining globally, so Suzuki Motorcycles approached Emote Digital to transform their online presence to have the best motorcycle website in Australia.
The Problems
- Overcoming that motorcycles are traditionally sold by visiting the dealership in person
- Increasing their service retention, accessory sales, finance and insurance uptake
- Solving for the lack of visibility customers have around which dealers have their preferred motorcycle in stock
- Combatting the declining motorcycle market and creating the number one motorcycle website in Australia
The Approach
Emote Digital redesigned the entire Suzuki Motorcycles Australia website to feature visually impressive pages that guide the user through the entire journey of choosing a motorcycle and services. It was important that we provide all the information to the end-user so they can be educated and ready to purchase when entering a dealership.
Every motorcycle page is visually appealing and highlights the benefits of each motorcycle, used bikes, and current stock.
Emote added the ability to easily compare models and highlight the differences.
Users are now able to search their surrounding dealers for different models, filter by year and colour, include accessories and services, and send the enquiry to the nominated dealer.
Build Your Bike
As it’s important to empower customers to purchase from dealerships, Emote Digital also developed a Build Your Bike flow to overcome the challenges of selling online.
They integrated Build Your Bike to allow customers to firstly select motorcycle models and colours before they guide them through the available accessories and service plans.
All Build Your Bike enquiry forms include a section to register your interest for Suzuki finance and insurance.
The user has the ability to either pay a deposit and secure the motorcycle they have built or send the motorcycle with all the selected accessories and services to a nominated dealer.
The Outcomes
Emote Digital’s biggest success is how they’ve been able to streamline the process of choosing a motorbike online and how that translates to securing it from a dealership.
Not to mention, the website they’ve created is visually impressive and better captures the sophistication of Suzuki motorcycles.
The new end-user journey removes decision fatigue, increases service retention and results in more qualified leads delivered to dealers. Individual dealer pages can expand to become minisites that the dealer can send advertising traffic to, further increasing qualified lead generation and conversion.
They not only created a new website for Suzuki Motorcycle, they digitally transformed Suzuki Motorcycle’s sales process by prioritising the customer’s journey. The outcome is a frictionless connection between the customer, motorcycle, and local dealership.

Brown Family Wine Group needed a way to introduce a recently-acquired boutique wine brand in a way that would be well-received by their established customer base.
So, Emote Digital has developed a strategy to not only overhaul their website and online store, but slowly roll out their newest brand as a welcome addition to their product range.
Brown Brothers is one of Australia’s leading family-owned wine brands. Priding themselves in their own traditions; however, they are not a traditional wine company. They are steeped in their family’s heritage, and they have a history of innovation that inspires their future direction.
Part of a whole
A suite of sites working together as one. Emote Digital has created a unified multi site that runs all four brand sites off the same core. This not only allowed different brands to be cross sold across each website, but allowed for a unified shopping experienced that maintained each brand’s unique character.
Keeping track of stock
Stock control over multiple sites with one centralised database. The stock master acts as a direct point of communication for all four sites. Stock levels and product information can be managed from one spot, allowing for instantaneous updates across every site.
Order rules
The agency has set the purchase rules, minus the usual customer frustration. Shoppers can see a live countdown tool that helps them to fill their 6 bottle minimum order before proceeding to checkout. Exceptions to the rule can be implemented for specialty products, making this system effortlessly customisable. This addresses a common issue with online stores and ordering rules, creating a positive user experience.
Purchase across brands
Allowing brands to be cross-sold across all Brown Brothers sites means products are available from more than one online location.
Modular Design
Built to allow custom pages to be created from a collection of pre-designed modules. Each Brown Brothers website is based on the same template, but full customised for each individual brand.

Global fairground sensation House of Mirrors was set to appear at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
This mirror maze of optical illusions needed a strong marketing campaign not only to publicise the attraction itself, but draw visitors to the entire festival. And so Melbourne digital marketing expert, Emote Digital has launched a social media marketing campaign to spread the word.
Social Advertising
Social media was the ideal platform to build both awareness and engagement. The campaign received hundreds of thousands of engagements for House of Mirrors, generating massive publicity for the entire Adelaide Fringe Festival. This led to thousands of ticket sales at an incredibly low cost per conversion.
Ad Targeting
Emote Digital was able to target niche audiences through both Facebook ads and Instagram posts and Stories. These visual mediums were ideal for showcasing the distorted allure of House of Mirrors.
Outcomes
The marketing campaign of Emote Digital led to thousands of ticket sales and generated amazing media exposure, with Eventalaide. They also stated,
