Yard, a UK award-winning technical marketing agency, announced that their ‘website migration’ challenge has resulted in success.
Websites are constantly evolving and upgrading. When sites move domain, change URLs or move from HTTP to HTTPS, Yard implement a migration to ensure that user journeys remain seamless, search (SEO) visibility is retained and site performance is not affected.
As part of their SEO and content work, Yard is involved in a lot of migrations, and in a recent review of their work, it’s discovered that the agency had reached a milestone – they’ve just completed their 300th website migration before the New Year begins.
The 300 domains involved span numerous verticals, industries and site types and the agency has dealt with almost every conceivable issue along the way.
Common issues that the agency comes across include forgotten legacy websites from years before which still have SEO value but do not redirect, badly designed navigation and overly complex URL structures.
Yard’s Head of Technical SEO, Scott McLay has been involved in many of these migrations.
We’re delighted to have reached 300 website migrations, a lot of hard work has gone into each of them. We’re now looking forward to the next few hundred.
With the new joins in their Edinburg office as well, Yard team also wish you an amazing Christmas!
