Instagram is rolling out a new feature that users can set a daily reminder for the amount of time spent in the app.
Social media channels begin to announce that they would be launching activity dashboards and a time management feature throughout this year. The new feature called “Your Activity” which lets users know how much time they spend through.
The new Your Activity dashboard provides information about how much time a user has spent in the app over a week and also allows users how to manage their time on the platform by setting daily reminders to let them inform when they’ve reached their own time limit.
The feature also allows users to mute push notifications or turn them on or off for specific periods of time, as well as turn vibration for notifications on or off at will.
The feature comes at a time when the time well-spent movement is gaining significant influence, and other tech companies like Google and Apple are also introducing similar features. Apple introduced Screen Time on iOS and Google released a Digital Wellness dashboard with Android 9.0 because tech companies are thinking about helping users better manage their time using apps.
The long-awaited Facebook’s, Your time on Facebook hasn’t been released, despite being announced in August.
