One of Enid Blyton’s classics The Famous Five, will appear on the latest adventure on jewel hunt, while touring Oxford to London as part of Great Western Railway’s latest advertising campaign.
We strongly advise you to hang on to your hat, because the most entertaining advertising campaign is here. Created by Adam & Eve/DDB’s animated 60-second commercial, Anne, Dick, George, Julian and Timmy the dog first appeared in Blyton’s ‘Five on a Treasure Island’ 75 years ago and were renowned for finding adventure and excitement wherever they go.
The crew take help of GWR’s new Intercity Express Trains as they trace some of the region’s most iconic cities and destinations, beginning with the Oxford’s Magdalen College through Roman Baths in Bath, Exeter Cathedral and Cardiff before an arresting happens in London. They also feature the series of print and outdoor ads referring to resemble the old Famous Five book covers of Blyton’s.
As we hit by the autumn’s weather, the idea of boarding a train with a new line of crosswords for company is more attractive than ever. The campaign will roll out as TVC, print and outdoor, cinema, radio, social, digital media and on-train merchandise. The movie is designed by Matt Woolner and Steve Wioland and directed by Pete Candeland through Friends Electric.
Enid Blyton’s Famous Five seem to have all the fun while touring the cities and every single frame is cinematic and scrumptious. We’re wondering for the next season already!
