Premature birth charity Tommy’s has appointed digital agency Tangent to redevelop their app.
As the largest charity funding research into the causes of stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth, Tommy’s provides information for parents-to-be and supports them throughout their pregnancy journey. With 60,000 babies born prematurely each year in the UK, its an important topic that causes extreme trauma, anxiety and uncertainty for many parents.
In line with Tommy’s mission of providing practical and emotional support, digital agency Tangent has been appointed to completely redevelop their app for parents of premature babies.
The new app will provide a personalised experience with features and comprehensive information that will support parents through this traumatic time of their lives. At the time of writing, the Tommy’s and Tangent team are busy interviewing parents to decide on the final functionality of the app. It is expected to include information on the stage of their pregnancy, diary entries, measurement logs and the ability to connect with other parents through stories and social media.
The new app will be available on both iOS and Android platforms and is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2021.
