For the very first time, Instagram collaborated with Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam to create a global campaign for the Stories platform.
While expressing yourself is the most important thing nowadays, Instagram Stories try to inspire and excite their users’ with the new campaign. Stories are Everywhere aims to celebrate life’s highlights and all the casual, everyday moments in between. It is a multi-channel, integrated campaign that shows the world through the lens of Instagram Stories.
Stories Are Everywhere is inspired by the actual Instagram community who are already using Stories tools and it displays brush, stickers, Boomerang and the Live functions that can turn users’ simple moment into something special.
The campaign begins in Philadelphia, Cologne and Milan as of today and includes 15-second videos, out-of-home installations, and digital and mobile assets. For the media launches, the Facebook-owned company has worked with Mindshare. They intend to release 20 to 25 films by the end of the campaign.
Taj Alavi, Head of Brand Marketing at Instagram says,
We’ve been known as a place that highlights those special moments you want to remember, and then seven months ago we launched Instagram Stories and suddenly we saw a change in how 150 million people express themselves every day. We moved from highlights and the epic to silly, casual, funny moments and sides of people we’d never seen before on the platform.
The flytube above has its own Instagram account and is being imitated by the users. The account is called @oguturiboom and has funny content. Have a look and let the new trend begin!
