Northern Lights Captured In Time Lapse By More Than Just Parks

Voyageurs National Park reveals great landscapes, so you don’t have to travel to Scandinavia to see the northern lights.

More Than Just Parks reveals another National Park video and this one is from the Voyageur National Park, which is located on the edge of Minnesota, U.S. The serene landscapes and incredible night skies are beyond perfection.

The park is special with its many lakes and waterways. The video takes viewers through Sand Point Lake, Namakan Lake, Ash River, Kabetogama Lake and Rainy Lake.

With 3 people, it took 14 days to capture more than 20,000 photos for the time-lapse sequences. The whole crew worked their way northwest after hiking and often boating on their way throughout the park’s encompassing 340 square miles, starting from Crane Lake.

Let’s watch the stunning video:

More Than Just Parks is a project from the brothers Jim and Will Pattiz, who together run Sea Raven Media. The brothers combined their experiences in film production with their outdoors passion. They are offering an online journey to America’s 59 national parks and they want to reach as much people as they can.

Their goal is to film all the parks. Voyageurs is the 9th one, following the release of a Grand Teton time lapse in July. MTJP project is supported through print sales and donations.

We may come across with a lot more videos in the following time  since this is the 100th anniversary of the National Parks.
