To support small and medium traditional businesses, Facebook UK and Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam created a campaign and showcase business entrepreneurs.
Created by Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, ‘Let’s Go To Work’ features snapshots of traditional businesses’ hard working routines and showcasing a barbershop, a boxing gym, a butcher and a denim industry. The campaign also has a 60-second spot and is narrated by Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow, Kit Harington.
The campaign tells the stories of businesses and exemplifies how they use social media effectively. Charlotte’s Butchery, is a female butcher using social media to stand out in a male-dominated industry, Repton Boxing Club, brings local kids together with world renowned fighters and Huit Denim, is eager to revive the denim industry in Cardigan, Wales. Harington’s voice in the back is directed by Stink’s Jones & Tino promote this SMB-supportive spot.
Every entrepreneur that has featured in the campaign will have a dedicated microsite, which will explore how each worked with Facebook Business to build and scale their business.
Ciaran Quilty, VP of SMB Facebook EMEA said,
More than one in three small businesses in the UK are using Facebook to build their business. They are a vital part of our communities and we know that 70% of small businesses on Facebook say it helped them attract new customers.
This new ad campaign celebrates those businesses, showcasing the vibrancy of British entrepreneurs who are making a great impact in the UK and across the globe.
As the creative department of the project, W+K Amsterdam Creative Directors Daniel Schaefer and Szymon Rose added,
This campaign celebrates the hard work and dedication behind all the small businesses out there. It was important to us to feature real businesses and tap into the unique and interesting stories behind each of them.
The eight-week campaign, will run in outdoor, print, online and cinema, and also in TVC format which features 16 small and medium businesses in total and is set to launch on 29 January.
