McDonald’s Joins The Virtual Reality Hype With Happy Goggles

McDonald’s is introducing Happy Meals boxes that transform into VR headsets.

The fast food giant, famous for its happy meals now designs a happy meal box, that upon following instructions can turn into a VR headset called Happy Goggles.

Happy Goggles will be available over the first two weekends of March at 14 McDonald’s restaurants in a limited number of 3,500.

McDonald’s announces on its website,

This initiative is being tested in Sweden. We hope to be able to roll it out in your country soon.

Designers at DDB are responsible for creating the project for new Happy Meal box. To build your own VR headset, just tear along some perforated lines and fold, inserting the VR lenses and a smartphone.

Together with Happy Goggles, McDonald’s is also launching a ski-themed VR game called “Slope Stars”.
