Margaret Qualley Dances For Kenzo’s New Fragrance Ad

Spike Jonze teases clichés of the fragrance commercials perfectly in this ad for Kenzoworld. Plus, Margaret Qualley dances gorgeously in the video.

The video begins with Qualley sitting bored in a hotel’s dinner event at L.A’s Dorothy Chandler Pavillon, Marriott Hotel. Qualley quits the event and starts dancing in the lobby by herself. Her eyes twitch, shoulders shrug and limbs flail in wild movements. She wears a jewel green dress and seems to be having fun while dancing to Fatboy Slim’s famous song “Weapon of Choice”.

Spike Jonze’s comment for the commercial video for the release is “irreverent and lively fragrance,” and is similar to his music video for Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice. This one is an electrifying performance by actress Margaret Qualley.

Spike Jonze, has been a long-time collaborator with Kenzoworld founders Lim and Humberto Leon. The video’s choreography is from Ryan Heffington, who also works on the dance for Sia’s “Chandelier” video.

Here’s the video for Kenzoworld:

One of the founders of the fragrance, Carol Lim, said,

She’s inspirational yet understandable. She’s doing things, right? She’s got things happening in her life. She’s going to school or she’s dating. She’s an activist. She’s a doer. What we wanted to convey was that yes, she possesses this extra layer. We also want her to be someone you attain to be, like the best version of yourself.

We can definitely say this is a good job. Can you? Comment below.
