Khanna \ Reidinga & McCann have partnered together to launch a pan-European campaign to introduce NN’s new long-term brand platform – You Matter in countries across Europe where ING Insurance has been rebranded to NN or Nationale-Nederlanden.
The agency partnership won the account in 2013 in a formal review process based on this line and the vision it represents for the brand. After an extensive internal launch, this film represents the first external work for the new brand and is timed to coincide with the physical changing of the name across all markets from ING Insurance to NN, and the new introduction of a new visual identity created by Koeweiden Postma.

People seem to have lost interest in long term financial planning. As a result they tend to do nothing about an issue that can greatly affect their future happiness. It’s important to remind people that they have a role to play and NN is a brand that will make this easy for them.

The film asks people to reassess what truly matters and shows how this can change over the course of a lifetime. The fantasy of the white sandy beach is long gone but everyone has the right to envisage a future for themselves and feel like they have the power to make that a reality.
Directed by Thijs Schreuder-Rinnooy Kan and produced by 100% Halal, the film was shot across Europe and features real people, not actors, who were chosen for the relevance of their particular story. Most scenes will later expand into individual product campaigns featuring those specific persons.
