Description:

Social Chameleon is looking for a PR & Communications Lead to join their team in London.

Duties:

Develop PR and communications strategies and to work both individually or with other team members to execute them
Land valuable links and media placements for both clients and our agency
Understand what journalists are looking for (using tools such as social listening) and how to get in touch with them
Develop outreach strategies that successfully result in media placements
Nurture relationships with key media contacts to strengthen our ability to gain links as needed
Stay on top of industry trends and competitor strategies
Own the results of the PR campaigns that you develop
Ensure all PR KPIs are met on campaigns you are working on
Be a proactive member of our team, committed to driving the agency forward through creative ideas and a can-do attitude

Your Responsibilities:

Lead on PR strategy development & implementation
Build relationships with journalists and media contacts across a range of sectors
Utilise platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter to grow your industry presence and increase opportunities to attract and engage media contacts
Research potential backlink opportunities across client and agency accounts
Write engaging press releases and story pitches
Respond to PR requests through the likes of HARO and Journo Requests
Monitor news and trends to seek out coverage opportunities
Proactively seek opportunities and new ways to gain links and coverage
Work with other team members (such as our SEO manager) to develop cross-channel campaigns, and understand the role that PR plays in other areas of marketing (such as SEO)
Brainstorm ideas and present strategies to team members and clients
Collate results and presents reports to management (in-house) and clients

£50k salary

A hybrid working arrangement (with 3 days per week in our London office)

MUST haves:

Must have experience working within an agency within a PR & communications role
A minimum of 4 years of experience in PR / Digital PR
Demonstrable experience securing backlinks / coverage in top-tier publications
A proactive, can-do & ambitious attitude
