Description:

As Business Development Manager, your day to day will focus on identifying, generating and nurturing new prospects and leads in the UK for the agency. You will be the first point of contact for all prospective clients in the UK, ensuring they are fully equipped with relevant information. You will build a prospecting plan according to the agency growth target.

You will be responsible for proposals and pitching as well as continuing to identify opportunities to support existing clients and nurture those relationships, acting as a trusted, well-informed advisor. You will identify new ways to approach clients. This role is about bringing on new business primarily, as opposed to simply account managing the business in place, although this will also play a small role. The key to success in this opportunity is the passion to drive the business to new heights through growth.

Duties:

• Focus on increasing sales revenue through new business development
• Find and manage new leads
• Build relationships with prospects and clients
• Contact and follow up with prospective clients
• Prepare and present weekly sales reports
• Responsible for developing a UK sales strategy

Requirements:

• Proven track record in business development, achieving ambitious revenue targets
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating in a business development role with good working knowledge of digital marketing
• Experience of working in a similar role for a marketing agency
• Experience in social selling
• Ability to conduct incisive desk research into sectors, target companies, and individual prospects
• Articulate and confident communicator – ability to think quickly and creatively when talking to prospects
• An instinct for creative selling – we’re not working from scripts, and you will be expected to create tailored approaches for each prospect
• Bags of energy and dedication, with the ability to thrive in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment
• Self-starter and proactive individual and team player
