The platform is open to all developers to create games for Instant Games.
After the launch of its Instant Games platform in closed beta, Facebook team and its developer partners worked hard to make the platform open to all developers to build HTML5 cross-platform gaming experiences.
Available on Messenger and Facebook News Feed for both mobile and web, this new game experience provides people an online field that they can easily discover, share, and play games without having to install new apps.
It’s now shared that the platform is available for all developers who would like to join the Instant Games network. Along with the announcement, Facebook has also shared that they have several new features that will help developers monetize, measure and grow their games:
All new game developers have now access to Facebook’s Ads API (application-programming interface).
According to information shared by the company, formats include interstitial and rewarded video ads powered by Audience Network and they have already been seeing some initial, encouraging results from closed beta developers that have integrated Ads.
Furthermore, the developers will also be able to Access to Monetization Manager, which has recently been introduced by Facebook and helps Instant Games developers to increase their revenue to the maximum level with the company’s advanced optimization tools.
What is more, it also offers an easy management of ad placements across apps and specific reporting since the company has also added the Instant Games reporting into Facebook Analytics. The aim of this action is to give developers a useful insight to help them optimize the unique social contexts of Instant Games platform.
Facebook invites all developers who are curious about building for the Instant Games platform to join the team at GDC SF on Monday March 19 for its annual Developer Day.
