The solar spot features a lot of miniature characters performing to Gorillaz’ new soundtrack “We Got The Power” from their new album “Humanz”.
Known for their innovative and cheerful projects, E.ON kicks off its UK-facing solar-plus-storage system by launching a public awareness and advertising campaign starring UK pop band Gorillaz. The launch highlights the introduction of the company’s new global brand position which reflects its desire to bring innovative customer solutions that help create a better future.
Set in a desert, the film features 1,000+ dancing toys, more than hundreds of light installations, illuminating giant squids, a giant golden lucky cat and a squadron of flashing UFOs, powered just by a solar and battery storage technology. The project is now available to UK consumers and E.ON said that the partnership was designed to promote the new global position.
Gorillaz Founder and Bassist, Murdoc Niccals said,

That’s why Gorillaz has partnered up with E.ON – the leading eggheads in solar storage – to create a spanking new studio that not only lets us create more mind-blowing music, it also saves the planet. E.ON do batteries as well, meaning we can keep banging out killer tunes even after dark.
