With its flair for creativity and a conquering spirit, French fashion house, Christian Dior entwines cutting-edge technology and the glamorous world of couture by being the first fashion label to introduce in-store virtual reality headsets for its fashionistas.
Named ‘Dior Eyes’, the headset was created at Dior workshops in partnership with DigitasLBi Labs France using a 3D printer, all the while maintaining the house’s superior craftsmanship as it breaks into a technology-focused retail experience. By placing Dior Eyes in a number of its boutiques, Dior establishes itself as a brand that keeps up with and adapts to the ever-changing world of consumer behavior.
Dior Eyes uses ultra-immersive virtual reality and state-of-the-art technology to create a fascinating 3D experience.
For the inaugural experience, Dior will lift the curtain on its latest ready-to-wear show. Dior Eyes will be introduced at selected Dior stores around the world, showing behind-the-scenes during the brand’s runway show, with models being made up by the expert hands of the makeup maverick, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Dior Make-up.
This trendsetting experience gives rise to a new relationship between couture and technology. Designed exquisitely with intricate and refined details, this headset lets the user experience the backstage landscape at a fashion show, allowing Dior enthusiasts in on the real deal – a backstage pass to the most happening shows in the Paris fashion almanac.
