Now You Can “Order Food” Through Facebook

Ordering food is a serious business for creative companies these days. Finding new methods to catch users’ attention, is really important, and Facebook is the newest member of the trend.

Facebook has officially announced that users can order their favourite meals from the restaurants without leaving the social network. In the Facebook app’s menu area, users can find a hamburger-styled light blue “Order Food” icon or on the website, a more real-looking hamburger icon.

The system is powered by Delivery.com and Slice — previously they direct restaurant’s Facebook page.

To get started, you can simply type the location and from there, you can stroll through a solid selection of restaurants. Once a restaurant is selected, users can start building their order via a simple interface. Even if you never ordered food online before, you’ll be able to use the it very easily.

To make space for the other important moments in life, Facebook unveils another new features as well. The social network will also let you buy tickets from Ticketmaster or book appointments at places like nail salons and more. You can also discover the latest local events happening around you, with the upgraded Events bookmark.

According to the official announcement, the social network has begun to roll out the experiences in the US, then over the coming months, they’ll be launching more new features.
