BBDO New York and Idealist have launched the world’s first ChatBot, named Ida.
Connecting idealists with opportunities for action all over the world, Idealist is used by more than 11,000 organizations around the world and millions of people, who are ready to do good, every month.
In addition to being the most popular online resource for the non-profit sector, Idealist became together with BBDO New York and launched Ida by aiming to become more.
Ida is the world’s first ChatBot that encourages people to take an action for good. It friendly engages with people who want to help and do good on Facebook messenger and assists them through their meaningful journey.
It kindly asks their locations, interests and in which ways they want to help. Ida then matches them with organizations and charities according to the information they share.
BBDO Senior Creative Director Joyce Pedretti, said:
People read things online and are inspired in the moment and make comments, but a comment doesn’t make a difference. People will say, ‘What do I do?’ but then stop there, and we want to help people move beyond that.
Idealist and BBDO conceived three online videos; each points a different issue such as refugees and Syrian crises.
The three videos include the illustrated Facebook conversations, where people share their concern for a specific issue and change the topic quickly to another which results with finding an excuse to not take an action against the issues they have been worried. Each video ends with a fact that life can get in the way of doing good and highlights that Ida is ready to help them to stay focused and act instantly.
