Alina Abegg – A Cosmic Shopping Experience

Berlin-based designer Alina Abegg asked Hy.am studios to create an editorially-inspired shopping experience for her iconic jewelry brand.

For the launch of Berlin-based jewelry designer Alina Abegg’s first major collection, “A cosmic escape,” Hy.am Studios were asked to refine her brand’s digital identity and develop a new e-commerce site to make her iconic pieces available to an international audience.

The Approach

Alina came to this collaboration with a clear creative vision.

Together with their own research and team workshops, this focused starting point inspired them to experiment with a playful yet sophisticated brand refresh.

The Solution

Knowing that the client’s target audience might not be digital natives, their end product – an easy-to-navigate site – puts Alina’s products front and center.

Through bold photography and expressive typography, Hy.am Studios created a modern, editorial layout that allows users to discover Alina’s cosmic pieces in a playful yet easy way.

A Bold, Modern Art Direction

They developed an elevated art direction, featuring sleekly minimal lookbooks; revamped packaging in the brand’s signature pink, embellished with a hot-foil stamped logo; an editorial-inspired approach to social media; and custom animations for digital media.

Overall, this helped the client to define her online aesthetic as equal parts sophisticated, bold, and fun.

Working closely with renowned designer Filip Hodas, they delivered galactic, hyperrealistic 3D illustrations for Alina Abegg’s first collection “A cosmic escape.”
