Adobe Announces A Creative City App Challenge For UX Designers

Adobe has launched a design challenge, inviting UX designers to prototype their creative city map using Adobe XD.

Your friends are in your city and you don’t have a favorite city app to suggest them? Thanks to Adobe, you can now create your own!

Inspiring designers to use Adobe XD, the company announced a creative city app contest along with three icon kits that celebrate user experience design excellence and underscore the importance of icon design to storytelling.

According to the Adobe’s announcement

The challenge is to create a functioning app prototype destined to travel and design lovers. The creatives are invited to offer the user a new point of view, new ways of discovering, and the best kept secrets of their cities. The app should be able to offer a local-like experience, to go beyond the touristic part of the classic travel experience.

Designers are first expected to download Adobe XD and the exclusive kits designed by Anton & Irene, Büro Destruct, and Lance Wyman and choose one of them to use in their app prototype.

After they design their own mobile or web app prototype on the theme “creative curated city recommendations” shared by Adobe, they then need to publish their work on Behance and promote it on Twitter using the hashtag #IconContestXD.
