Adidas Originals x Alexander Wang Season 2 Will Be On Sale Via ‘Chatbot’

We’ve already seen this fab-collab past winter, Adidas Originals and Alexander Wang released their second collection as ‘Season2’.

The collection is obviously inspired by both raving and cycling — to present the story of a tribe of New York bike messengers, according to their press release. The posters have covered Clarkson and Greenwich Streets in New York, where they code 917-512-7715 — to buy the items via text.

You can watch the teaser video, here:

Chatbot retail scheme works not complicated as it seems: All of the product codes will be printed on the posters, which will act as a hub for the activation. Then you text the number below the code and size of the item for the purchasing process.

The designer Alexander Wang says,

The activation is just as important as the products, because it really speaks to the narrative and the concept. If you see a wild posting, you could just text the number and order the item and get it essentially—in New York, where there are so many cycling messengers—delivered right to your home.

The inspiration, came from the many highlighter shades that appeared in his Spring 2017 collection, along with videos of mass cycling events. It kind of reminded me of Mad Max, when they’re going down [through] the desert and there are people with huge speakers. I liked the idea that they were all going to this destination, this underground, crazy rave.

The whole Adidas Originals x Alexander Wang Season 2 collection will become available online in worldwide on August 5th with select retail partners.

Although this is an extra-riot collection, the sales marketing strategy is so next-level which makes the project even more cool.
