McWhopper For A Cause – Burger King Proposes Truce With McDonalds For A Day

The prospect of a McWhopper burger by McDonalds & Burger King for world peace is salivating fast-food fans around the world!

Imagine McDonald’s legendary Big Mac oozing with cheese and special sauce; or how about the one-of-a-kind Whopper by Burger King, with fine-grilled beef and onions. Now imagine a hybrid of the two and what do you have? A McWhopper of a satisfying meal!

Burger King made a pitch to McDonald’s that the two fast food chains come together to make “The McWhopper.” Touting the idea in a full-page advertisement published Wednesday in the Chicago Tribune and The New York Times, Miami-based Burger King proposed that the two rivals call a one-day ceasefire in the “burger wars”.

Burger King even set out a website outling the proposal, suggesting the marketing stunt be held on Sept. 21, with proceeds benefiting the anti-conflict nonprofit Peace One Day.

The Yellow man responded with a Facebook post, on Wednesday morning:

Dear Burger King,
Inspiration for a good cause… great idea.
We love the intention but think our two brands could do something bigger to make a difference.
We commit to raise awareness worldwide, perhaps you’ll join us in a meaningful global effort?
And every day, let’s acknowledge that between us there is simply a friendly business competition and certainly not the unequaled circumstances of the real pain and suffering of war.
