Being a UX Strategist at Engine Digital

We believe that User Experience is the connective tissue between business strategy, technology and design. Responsibilities:

  • Know when and why UX deliverables such as Generative and Formative Research, User Journeys, Wireframes, Site Maps and Content Matrices are required
  • Create and present UX deliverables within the agency and to our clients
  • Partner with other team members to steer the user experience vision
  • Form a clear and insightful understanding of our clients’ business, their needs, and the creative opportunities and challenges that exist in their categories
  • Work collaboratively with practice leads and senior members of the design team to generate thoughtful, innovative, and relevant creative strategies across a broad range of media channels
  • Facilitate strategy and ideation sessions to bring together the perspectives of all practice groups while keeping the needs of the customer at the center

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in UX or IA both leading projects and working within a team dynamic
  • Experience planning websites and web applications for consumer and enterprise users
  • Experience defining native mobile app workflow and UX patterns for iOS and Android
  • Proficient with common UX principles and language including user-centered design, patterns, and design thinking
  • Excellent knowledge of usability, accessibility and industry standards
  • Experience working within a fast-paced team environment preferably within a creative or interactive agency setting
  • Experience with A/B testing, web analytics, and analytics platforms
  • Proficient using Omnigraffle, Visio, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, and PowerPoint
  • Passionate and driven about new and emerging technologies, platforms, channels, trends, and best practices
  • Solid communication skills; ability to listen, present, and sell through ideas both internally and directly to executive level client stakeholders
  • A university or college degree is preferred but not required
  • Candidates should be residents of greater New York City or willing to relocate
