Audi’s “Duel” Ad Warns People To Choose The Next Driver Wisely

Audi has released a politically-themed video commercial named “Duel”, which is about two valets competing over the RS 7— Audi’s high-performance sports car.

The campaign was released a few days ago. In the video, two valets (a man and a woman, of course) are debating for the new Audi RS 7 to get behind the wheel. The San Franciscan agency, Venables Bell & Partners made the ad campaign for the new sedan.

The plot is all filled with political references and it filmed in reverse chronological order. It ends with the tagline, “Beautiful things are worth fighting for. Choose the next driver wisely.” and also the title of the ad “Duel” is also politically-themed.

Looks like the car, Audi RS 7, is worth fighting for.

The video is directed by Ringan Ledwidge, and an Audi spokeswoman stated,

The commercial is the ultimate metaphorical showdown, with an abundance of cultural and political references woven throughout,

The race to be the next Commander-In-Chief has never been fiercer, with the debates heating up to become the duel of the century. Audi is bringing you our own version of political satire, with two valets duking it out in an epic, knock-down-drag-out fight to the finish for the highest prize of them all. Hint: Keep an eye out for all 18 Easter eggs.

The production team of the spot is a real Hollywood-blockbuster, too. The video was directed by Ringan Ledwidge; the cinematography is by Greig Fraser, with stunt choreography by Robert Alonzo; and the production designer was the Oscar-nominated K.K. Barrett.

Seems like the Presidential Debate was not the only the debate on the run this week.
